Wash with warm soapy water before initial use and after each subsequent use. Do not soak stamp when cleaning to avoid loosening wood handles. Use a brush to clean stamp design. If stamp handle becomes loose, press down on stamp and give it a slight twist.

Fun to use

These make cookies beautiful IF you dip them in sugar between each press. Otherwise the dough sticks. I use recipes for drop cookies rather than rolled out.

Warm handle, sharp stamps

These are even nicer than I expected: beautifully made, with a teak handle that feels wonderful in the hand (and is just right for a child to hold). The stamps themselves are finely cut, yielding a strong relief pattern in cookies. I've used them on the citrus shortbread stamped cookies from the New York Times, and will next make the soft gingerbread tiles from Plenty.
